Polytech, in collaboration with the University of Thessaly, proudly demonstrated the capabilities of the PCB301 Mobile Laboratory at the Department of Special Education. This initiative provided students from the 6th Gymnasium in Volos a unique opportunity to explore and evaluate the advanced functionalities of this innovative mobile lab.
A Collaborative Effort
The successful deployment of the PCB301 Mobile Laboratory was made possible through the efforts of Dr. Dionysios Vavougios, President of the Special Education Department, who played a crucial role as the project’s initiator and supporter. His commitment to enhancing educational experiences has paved the way for future collaborations in the coming school years.
Ms. Sophia Papargyri, the responsible teacher for the 6th Gymnasium students, expressed her gratitude and highlighted the significance of this collaboration in a letter posted on the school’s website. Here’s what she had to say:
MOBILE LABORATORY OF PHYSICS
“The collaboration of the 6th Gymnasium of Volos with the University continues this year with the Physics Laboratory, under the guidance of Professor D. Vagougyios.
A group of 2nd and 3rd-grade students visit the University of Thessaly’s laboratory every Tuesday afternoon from 18:00 to 20:00. Our students are excited to utilize the possibilities offered by the PCB301 Mobile Laboratory from Polytech SA, which will remain at the University for a year.
Polytech SA, operating since 1984 and headquartered in Larisa, aims to familiarize teachers and students with technological and laboratory practices in the fields of Science and Technology. In the context of science education at all levels, Polytech creates and produces state-of-the-art, fully equipped interactive educational systems. These systems include compact devices that combine wireless data acquisition and sensors, enabling students to perform various measurements.
The students’ interest in the workshop is immense, as evidenced by their enthusiastic reviews. Our actions will continue into the next school year.
I want to thank Professor Vagougyios for his support, Mr. Kaplanis Xenophon, the well-trained staff of Polytech, including Mr. Aris Alexias, Mr. Socrates Poulios, and Mr. Christos Argyropoulos.
Additionally, I extend my gratitude to the school headmaster, Mr. Konstantino Siappa, the parents who allowed their children to participate, and especially the students. Their enthusiasm inspires us to continue dreaming and discovering the natural world.”
