On Thursday, June 13 and Friday, June 14, 2014 the team from POLYTECH S.A.’s Maritime division visited the School Laboratory Center (SEK) of Syros to install and demonstrate advanced maritime educational equipment. This initiative aimed to enhance the educational resources available to students and faculty at the SEK of Syros.
During their visit, the POLYTECH team provided comprehensive briefings and hands-on demonstrations of the following state-of-the-art products:
- Bridge Simulator
The Bridge Simulator is a sophisticated tool designed to replicate the experience of navigating a ship. It allows students to practice real-life scenarios in a controlled and safe environment, improving their skills in ship handling and decision-making under various maritime conditions. - Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator
The Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator is an essential training device for understanding the complexities of transporting liquid cargo. It teaches students how to monitor and manage humidity levels, ensuring the safety and integrity of cargo during transit.
These installations mark a significant upgrade to the SEK’s facilities, offering students cutting-edge technology to better prepare them for careers in the maritime industry.
